What does this percentile means , isn't it exact marks or percentage, then how to calculate exact marks in jee main result?

Perentile mean that if there are 100 people giving an exam and your percentile is 90 this means that you have scored more than 90 people. So the percentile changes as the number of students change. The score cannot be prediced but you can calculate your rank by using the formula-
rank=(100-your percentile)*874469/100
though it is just a rough idea as the number of students will change after the JEE mains in april.
