Firstly the subject considerations in class 11th and 12th are genuinely best of five rules that means out of the six subjects only five best marks subjects are calculated as grand total.

So one of the subjects even if you fail will be waived off, but for the other subject which means if you fail in two subjects then you either have to appear in compartmental exam or based on your practical marks your school might promote you to 12 without any compartmental exam.
