cse in KGEC is better than JGEC. Although infrastructure of both the colleges are similar. Moreover KGEC CSE is most sought after branch after JU. Well it is due to the location of both the places. Kalyani is near Kolkata which is an IT hub whereas you’ll need at least 12 hours to reach Jalpaiguri from Kolkata via train. So obviously CSE in KGEC is better and more preffered branch than  JGEC CSE. Placements in both the colleges are almost similar with the average package of 3.5lpa in IT companies although more no. of students get placed from KGEC
