Yes ofcourse. If you are able to join companies like Capgemini, Larsen and Toubro, Thermax, etc as a mechanicak engineer, your income will be surely 7-8 lakhs per annum as a fresher and it will increase too gradually. But yes if you don't get such big companies, and get recruited in the mass campus pickups, then things are a little difficult for you as the income might be around 4-5 lakhs per annum as a fresher.
