Good morning to all respected teachers and my dear friends. Today we have gathered here to celebrate Teachers Day. Every year in India we celebrate Teachers Day on 5th September. This day is special because it is the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great teacher, philosopher, and the second president of India.

Teachers Day is an opportunity for us students to express our respect and gratitude towards our teachers. A teacher is like a guide who shows us the correct path in life. They not only teach us subjects like mathematics, science, or languages, but they also teach us discipline, good manners, and moral values. They shape our character and help us to become responsible citizens of the country.

We all know that without teachers, education has no meaning. It is the teacher who explains lessons with patience, clears our doubts, and encourages us to do better. They believe in us even when we sometimes do not believe in ourselves. That is why they are compared to parents. Parents give us birth, but teachers give us knowledge and wisdom.

On this day, students perform songs, speeches, and small cultural activities to make their teachers feel proud and happy. This is our way to thank them for their hard work and dedication. Even though one day is not enough to thank our teachers, celebrating Teachers Day reminds us how important they are in our lives.

In the end, I would like to say that teachers are the backbone of our society. Without them, no nation can progress. On behalf of all students, I sincerely thank all our teachers for their guidance, patience, and love. We promise to follow their teachings and make them proud.
