Dear Candidate ,
With a JEE Main Rank of 251,208 admission to B. Tech Food Technology at NIFTEM Thanjavur is not possible , as their closing rank is around 95,000. Consider Karnataka state counseling ( KEA ) for other colleges or private colleges accepting your rank .
A JEE Main percentile of 52 might not be sufficient for admission to NIFTEM (National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management) Thanjavur for B.Tech programs. NIFTEM's M.Tech programs are typically admitted based on GATE/NIFTEM-T scores, not JEE Main. For B.Tech programs at other NITs, which are admitted based on JEE Main scores, a 90+ percentile is generally required for the general EWS category, with lower percentiles required for other categories.
Here's a breakdown of why a 52 percentile might not be enough:
NIFTEM M.Tech Focus:
NIFTEM primarily focuses on M.Tech programs in food technology, entrepreneurship, and management. These programs are typically admitted through GATE/NIFTEM-T entrance exams, not JEE Main.
JEE Main for NITs:
While NIFTEM Thanjavur is an NIT, JEE Main scores are primarily used for B.Tech admissions at other NITs.
JEE Main Cutoffs:
To be eligible for the common rank list for NITs, you generally need a higher percentile in JEE Main, especially for the general category.
Category-Specific Requirements:
The minimum percentile required for admission to NITs can vary based on your category (e.g., SC, ST, OBC).
JoSAA Counseling:
NIT admissions are managed through the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation) counseling process.
In conclusion, a 52 percentile in JEE Main might not be sufficient for B.Tech admissions at most NITs, including NIFTEM Thanjavur. You should research the specific admission criteria for NIFTEM's M.Tech programs if that is your desired path.
