72 MonthsPh.D Food Science and Technology shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.

M.Tech. Food Science / Food Technology and Management / Food Safety and Quality Management / Food Supply Chain Management/ Food Technology / Food Process Engineering / Food Process Engineering and Management/ Food Engineering / Dairy Engineering / Dairy Technology / Agriculture Process Engineering / Agriculture & Food Engineering/ Food Biotech/ Food and Fermentation/M-Tech. in Food and Bioprocess Engineering, Process and Food Engineering, Nanoscience and Technology/ Biochemical Engineering from a recognized university /institute.
Admission Details
All candidates shall have to appear for Research Entrance Test (RET) to be organized by NIFTEM in its campus followed by interview for the candidates who qualify RET. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of RET (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage). Due weightage will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates.
