72 MonthsPh.D Food Business Management and Entrepreneurship Development shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
M.Tech. in Food Technology and Management/Food Process Engineering and Management/Food Plant Operation and Management/Food Safety and Quality Management/Food Supply and Chain Management. OR MBA (two years program) from a recognized Indian university with a Bachelor`s degree in Science/Engineering/Technology. PGDM (two years program) from a recognized institute duly approved by AICTE, provided that the institution awarding "PGDM" should be approved by Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to MBA.
All candidates shall have to appear for Research Entrance Test (RET) to be organized by NIFTEM in its campus followed by interview for the candidates who qualify RET. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of RET (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage). Due weightage will be given to NET/GATE qualified candidates.
