About GCET 2021
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa conducts GCET exam for admission to B.E. and B. Pharm courses offered by the participating institutes. Admission to B.Arch programme is on the basis of candidates’ scores in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). DTE, Goa is scheduled to conduct the GCET 2021 as Pen and Paper based mode on May 4 & 5. The GCET 2021 application form (except B.Arch) will be available online mode. It is important that candidates first check the eligibility criteria of GCET 2021 before they proceeded to fill the application form.
The GCET 2021 result will be announced one week after the conclusion of the examination. On the basis of scores obtained, GCET 2021 merit list will be prepared by the exam authorities. For admission, candidates will have to participate in counselling for which they have to register and fill their choices. The allotment of seats in the participating institutes will be done on the basis of candidates’ merit, choice filling and seat availability. For counselling, Form A has to be filled by the candidates apply for B.E/B.Tech and B.Pharm admission. While for B.Arch, Form B has to be submitted before the final date.

GCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
GCET B.E Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of GCET 2021 is prescribed by DTE, Goa. Candidates applying have to fulfill GCET 2021 eligibility criteria for their application forms to be accepted. Candidates will have to adhere to the following parameters under GCET eligibility criteria 2021:
B.E./ B. Pharmacy
Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to appear in GCET 2021 exam. Non-resident Indians holding Indian passports can also apply for seats reserved under the NRI category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders will also be considered eligible for admissions to seats under NRI Category.
Age: There is no age limit specified for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy Courses.
Qualifying Exam: Candidates applying must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination of the Goa Board or equivalent exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or any other examination. Candidates who have passed, or are appearing in HSSC,10+2, or equivalent exam before the start of the academic session will also be eligible to appear in GCET 2021.
Subject Combination & Minimum Marks: Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the following subjects Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories need to have 40% for the same criteria.
Reserved Categories: Candidates claiming seats in the reserved category of SC/ST/OBC will be required to submit their caste certificate in the prescribed proforma from the Competent Authority. In case of the required certificate not been enclosed with the form, their application will be considered for the General Category only.
For Kashmiri Migrants: Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent examination with English, Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects - Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology and obtained minimum 45% marks in Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.
GCET B.Arch Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of GCET 2021 will be prescribed by DTE, Goa. Candidates applying will have to fulfill GCET 2021 eligibility criteria for their application forms to be accepted. Candidates will have to adhere to the following parameters under GCET eligibility criteria 2021:

NATA: Candidates need to have a valid score in NATA entrance exam as conducted by COA.
Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate exam of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects and secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC). OR
Candidates must have done 10+3 Diploma (any stream) passed/ appearing recognized by Central/State Govts with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics. OR
Candidates must have completed International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory exam subject.

The application form of GCET 2021 will be available on the official website of DTE Goa (for B.E./B.Tech and B.Pharma) which has to be downloaded and submitted in person within the scheduled dates. The same has to be submitted at CAD section, DTE, Porvorim. Candidates will have to fill in the required details and submit the GCET application form 2021 within the specified date. How to fill the GCET 2021 application form - Offline:
- Goto to the official website - dte.goa.gov.in
- Click on the 'GCET 2021 application form' link.
- Download the application form as a PDF file and take a printout of the same.
- Fill it as per the instructions.
- Append the photocopies of necessary documents.
- Application fee of Rs.2000 has to be paid through Demand Draft. DD should be drawn in favor of "Director of Technical Education", payable at Porvorim.
- The filled-in application form should be submitted to the admission office on or before the specified date.
How to fill GCET online application form 2021?
- visit the official website of DTE Goa.
- In the first step, registration has to be done using an email ID and password.
- Next, candidates have to click on the verification link sent to their email and log in to fill out the application form.
- Personal, academic, and contact details have to be submitted by the candidates.
- The candidate's photograph and signature also have to be scanned and uploaded in the application form.
- Payment of application fee has to be done and candidates also have to select their preferred exam centre.
- The admit card will be generated and sent to the registered email ID of the candidate after the application form is submitted.
NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 situation, previous year, the exam authorities had given candidates the opportunity to fill and submit the GCET application form 2021 online on the official website.

DTE, Goa announces the result of GCET 2021 in both online and offline mode. GCET 2021 result can be checked by candidates from the official website and from the notice board of DTE. Mode of Counselling: Offline
Candidates have to report to the allotted institutes as per schedule. To participate in GCET 2021 counselling, candidates have to register for same. It must be noted that three rounds of GCET counselling 2021 will be conducted by DTE, Goa. The seat allotment is done according to candidates’ merit, specified choices and availability of seat. Candidates who will be allotted seat during any round of counselling will have to report to the institution allotted within three working days and obtain acknowledgement, otherwise, their admission will be cancelled.

TSPGECET verification was done in online mode and once you get a college then you need to go to college and report to the college offline. TSCHE conducted TS PGECET 2020 exam from September 21 to 24. TS PGECET application form was available up to July 31 with late fee of Rs. 500. Last date to fill application form without late fee was June 10. TS PGECET 2020 counselling was commenced on November 11. TS PGECET 2020 result was released in the form of rank cards on the official website.

MSU and DDU are both equally same when it comes to infrastructure. They both have huge libraries, laboratories, cafeteria, hostels, Wi-Fi enabled campus, etc,. Placements are in favour of DDU. They provide their highest salary as Rs. 30 lakhs/year where the former gives Rs. 3.1 lakhs/year. The rating is 4.3 and 3.9 for MSU and DDU respectively.
Both BVM and VGEC are almost similar in all aspects such infrastructure, placement, faculty, etc,. Their highest salary is Rs. 4.50 lakhs/year. Their rating is 3.9 and 4.0 respectively.
CHARUSAT has good infrastructure when compared to GEC, Gandhinagar. GEC has much less infrastructure. Placement is nearly same for both. The rating is 4.2 and 4.1 for CHARUSAT and GEC, Gandhinagar respectively.

Now, In upsee, The seat allotment is done on the basis of crl ranks not on the category ranks. For each category there are a certain percentage of seats reserved. Firstly the seats are given to general students on basis of their General ranks. After that the seats are allotted to reserved category students according to their CRL ranks for each category. After all the seats have been alloted by open category ranks then the reserved category seats are allotted.
So, that's why your ews category rank is not considered, and your were given the seat in basis of your CRL ranks.
