Yes, you can surely attempt for boards during 3rd attempt of JEE mains , because you should have 75% marks to get a good collee through JEE and then sit for JEE advanced.

If you are giving improvement, then you are eligible for the exam. 3 attempts are allowed in JEE MAINS. If you have failed in 2017 or before, then you are not eligible. Refer to the FAQ of official website for further clearance. You can also call them and become sure.
