you can carry aadhar card as the proof but the thing is you can original card preferably because it should be convinent for identification so my suggestoin  to you is please carry the original in case if they dont accept xerox then you have to suffer before the exam so you please carry original aadhar card as id proof not only the  aadhar card you can carry any one  proof like driving licence etc

you can carry aadhar card original prefarably and also you can take xerox copy if you feel necessary in many exams the invigilators ask original id proof and also you can carry any one of the id proof's if they mention in the hall ticket like passport or driving licence etc... can be taken for the exam hope this will be helpfull
