50% seats are reserved for all NITs through JoSAA counselling except NIT, Goa since 40% seats are filled under home state quota 10% seats are for candidates belonging to UTs of Daman & Diu, Dadar & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep. So you can get seat under home state quota though JoSAA counselling. However, there is no home state quota for admission in IITs. All seats are filled through All India Quota. To claim your home state reservation you need to provide valid domicile certificate. You don't need to separately apply for home state quota. When you fill your JoSAA application form you have to give your domicile details. You will be automatically considered as home state candidate of Madhya Pradesh and you will be eligible to get seat under home state quota. You need to score the minimum cut off rank to get seat.
