Admission  to  advanced  Diploma  (ADOP)  in  Mass  Media  in  Urdu  and  Certificate  of  Proficiency (COP) in  Mongolian,  Pushtu,  Bhasha  Indonesia,  Urdu,  Pali  ,Sanskrit  Computational  Linguistics programmes,  Sanskrit,  Yoga  Philosophy  and  Indian  Culture are  made  on  the  basis  of  the performance of candidates in written & viva-voce examinations in JNU.

The Admissions to Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) in Bhasha Indonesia and Mongolian are made on the basis of the performance of the candidates in viva voce examination.
