No, it is not compulsory to choose subjects of your graduation only. You can choose any subject of your choice in the Mains exam. There are 25 subjects available from which you can choose. For list of subjects, you can refer to the official guidelines at this link: https://www.upsc.gov.in/sites/default/files/Engl_CSP_2017.pdf
