I am from ISC board, want to give improvement exams in only 4 subjects out of 6(optional-Physical Education), can I give JEE mains?

Hello Jitendra,
You must be aware of the fact that for admission in NITs, IIITs and IITs you need to have an aggregate of at least 75 percentage in your CBSE Boards or to be in top 20 percentile of your respective boards. Now if you want to give improvement examination in order to increase your percentage in class 12th boards, then its fine. If you can get better marks so as to be in top 20 percentile of your boards, then you are eligible to get a seat in NITs, IIITs and IITs based on your JEE Mains rank and JEE Advanced rank.

Maam suppose, top 20 percentile cutoff for JEE mains for ""ISC Boards""" is 438/500, which means 87%, so will I have to score above 87% in ISC?? Or even if I have 75% in it, will it be considered? I dont know why does ISC needs top 20 percentile when the highest score soars so high(like 99%, even 100% this time), so i am pretty confused maam, whether if i score more than 75% in ISC board, still will i be demanded the same top 20 percentile cutoff??
