There are approximately 475 MBBS seats allotted for EWS Candidates in West Bengal State Counselling. With such less no.of seat available, cut offs tend to go higher. And this year cut offs have gone way higher. So with a score of 439, it is difficult for a seat in a Government Medical College.

Inspite of your ews quota you have no chance of getting into government medical college with 440 marks even through west Bengal state quota.This is because the cut off has gone high this year and also give marks are low.You might have some chance in governmet BAMS college. 

Also you can try for private colleges though state quota.
