Your profile is not that good to be honest with you. You have good enough time left for cat so if youre still pursuing Cat make sure to do some proffesional courses or case studies or research or projects etc. To strengthen your profile. And also you will need a very strong Cat percentile to get calls from IIMs anything less than 99 would lead to very meagre chances for calls.

Your profile is very average and it is going to interfere in your pursuit of getting into the IIMs. The only antidote to this is scoring very high in the CAT exam. For getting a call from the top 3 IIMs, you will probably need a score of excess of 99.8. Hope this helps.

All the best!

Getting a call and getting the college converted are two different situations. Hence, with your academic profile, you qualify the minimum eligibility criteria for getting the calls. Now, the major thing that would enhance your chances of getting a call as well as getting it converted would be determined by the percentile you get in CAT and thereafter, the interview process.

As of now, focus on the percentile part to get yourself through :)

There are less chances to get call from iim due to your average marks scored in graduation.

Still if you get very high percentile in cat, you have average chances to get call from iim

If you talk about eligibility as you have more than 50% in 10th 12th and graduation so you are eligible for all IIMs but eligibility does not ensure you a call from any college.

As you have an average academic background that could hamper you to get a call from IIMs. You should know that after CAT exam every IIM makes a merit list based on your aggregate score which consists of different parameters like CAT marks, 10th 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non engineer, gender with different weightages for different colleges. Among which overall 10th 12th, graduation percentage and work experience has a weightage of 15-35%.

So you can see that it covers almost one fourth of your total aggregate score. To cover the loss due to average academic records and being fresher you need to aim for a very high percentile in CAT exam.

To get calls from top 3 IIMs i.e. IIM A, B and C you need to score above 99.7 percentile. For other old IIMs like L, K and I you need to score above 98.5+ percentile and for new IIMs you need to score above 96+ percentile. Even though after scoring also there is no surity of call because there are IIMs like Bangalore and Kozhikode which gives high weightage to work experience and IIM Indore which gives more weightage to academic records even more than CAT marks. So it will be very difficult for you to get calls from those IIMs.

So in short to get calls from IIMs you need to aim for a very high percentile in CAT exam.

All the best for your preparations and exams!!
