Hello Durga,

Since you have a rank below 5000 so even if you are not under state quota then also you will get a seat in this college. If you are from Tamil Nadu, then it's enough to have a rank below 6k or 7k for a department of your choice.

But there's also an option to change your department after the 1st year, the basic requirement is not having any backlogs. Also, there'll be competition. So GPA above 8 in the 1st year helps.
