I have got 3098 rank in COMEDK and also I have scored 97 marks in JEE Mains Sept 4 shift 1, should I take drop to prepare for JEE or should I join a college with my COMEDK result?

It depends on you. If you get good college for your rank don't waste time for admission. Or else if you think that college is not suitable for you ,you can go for drop. If you take drop you will loss one year of education and try for next year. But think that for drop there will ne a loss of onr year. If you get good college for your rank don't waste time you can study well in college and can get good job. Work hard.
