In JEE Main exam pattern , each correct answer in Paper 1 (B.Tech) is awarded 4 marks, and each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 1 mark. Unanswered questions do not incur any negative marking. Paper 1 includes 90 questions, 75 of which are to be attempted.
These questions are divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with 25 questions each (20 MCQs and 5 numerical value questions). The total marks for Paper 1 are 300.

In JEE Main, each correct answer gives you +4 marks and each wrong answer gives -1 mark . No marks are deducted for unanswered questions.
