as Experts from well recognised Institutions says that this year cutoff of JEE main will be 85 percentile or more.
your friend may be selected for JEE Advance.but nothing can be siad surely at this time.
if you score more in upcoming exam JEE main April then your better marks will be taken as final marks.

so I suggest you for re-exam.

this year cutoff of JEE main will be approximate 85 percentile or above.
so sorry,but you and you friend are not elegible for JEE Advance .
as NTA doesn't declared any thing about cutoff yet so nothing can be said with 100 % surity.may be your Friend will be eligible but you can't.
