Hey

Currently there are no manned mission in Space by Indian Space Research Organisation, so no astronauts are employed recently. But they expect a mission in coming years for which practice is undergoing. For becoming an Astronaut in NASA you need to have following eligibility:

  • US Citizenship
  • Masters or PhD in STEM subject (engineering, biological science, physical science, computer science or mathematics )
  • Having minimum 2 years of Flight experience as a pilot
  • Have undergone NASA training

So after completing your Graduation from IIT, you can go for Masters in US and apply for Pilot training, with the training and flight experience after few years you may apply to NASA. There are other space organisation like ISRO, SpaceX, European Space Agency that also offers training for Pilot/Astronaut.
