Hello Dear Student,

Physical, Organic and Inorganic are the three major Branches of Chemistry.

The Difference between them are as following:

Physical Chemistry:

Physical Chemistry is the study of how matter behaves on a molecular and atomic level and how chemical reactions occur.

Components of Physical Chemistry:

  • Chemical Kinetics
  • Thermodynamics
  • Quantum Chemistry
  • Spectroscopy

Organic Chemistry:

Organic Chemistry is the Study of the Structure, properties and Reactions of Organic compounds, which contain Carbon in covalent bonding.

Components of Organic Chemistry:

  • Haloalkanes and Haloarenes.
  • Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers.
  • Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic acids.
  • Amines.
  • Biomolecules.
  • Polymer.

Inorganic Chemistry:

Inorganic Chemistry deals with synthesis and behavior of inorganic and organometallic compounds. This basically refers to the study of the chemical compounds that are not organic compounds.

Components of inorganic chemistry:

  • Industrial inorganic chemistry.
  • Coordination Compounds.
  • Main group compounds.
  • Transition metal compounds.
  • Organometallic compounds.
  • Cluster compounds.
  • Bioinorganic compounds.
  • Solid state compounds.

Hello,

In simple words:

Organic chemistry is the study of molecules that contain carbon compounds.

Inorganic chemistry is the study of all compounds that do NOT contain carbon compounds.

Physical chemistry is the study application of the techniques and theories of physics to the study of chemical systems.

Hi

Organic chemistry:

The chemistry of organic compounds, which are based on covalently bonded carbon atoms.

Inorganic chemistry:

This refers to the study of the chemical compounds that are not organic.

Physics chemistry:

This is the middle point between physics and chemistry. These two sciences merge in physical chemistry, which uses physics to study chemical systems.
