There is relaxation for candidates belonging to Hilly, North-Eastern, Gorkha and certain Tribal regions, where the minimum acceptable height is 147 cm. Girls who are below 18 years of age may also get up to 2 cm growth allowance. However, all candidates must still satisfy the AFMC weight-for-height chart, general medical fitness norms, and physical standards prescribed by the medical board.
