1. IIST, Thiruvananthapuram(Kerala)- top choice for B.Tech / MSc in Astronomy and astrophysics;ISRO affiliated.

2. IISC, Bangalore- Excellent for research / PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics.

3. Madhava observatory, Calicut University-Good for practical exposure.

5. Ooty radio telescope, Tamilnadu-for research projects.

Tip: For a degree, IIST is the best option; for research, IISc.
