Firstly I will say that both the branches are awesome, you should choose in which you feel enthusiastic. Secondly, according to me biotechnology has good scope but in abroad not in India so if you want to work in India you should pursue for Electronics and communication engineering, that still does not mean it is better. So it will be kind to choose the path in which you feel interested.
