AMU Aligarh is a central university, owned by the government and offers admission into UG, PG & doctoral courses in various fields like engineering, management, commerce, science, and others. It conducts three types of AMU Test course selection – in which candidates are selected through centralised Admission Test, a Departmental Test course in which candidates are selected through a Departmental Test, and a Non-Test course in which candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in their qualifying examination.

How to Apply for AMU 2024

• Visit the official website of AMU.

• Candidates need to enter details like creating a username and password, and then enter details such as name, email ID, mobile number, date of birth, etc.

• Click on the “Save and Continue” button to submit the details.

• You need to upload your passport-size scanned photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression.

• Click on the “Pay application fee” button and proceed to pay the required amount of fee.

AMU Eligibility Criteria 2024

Following is provided complete AMU Eligibility criteria 2024 for CUET-based courses & others:

For CUET Exam:

• Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen to be eligible for the exam.

• Qualification (UG): Candidates must have passed the 12th level or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.

• Percentage: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate to be eligible for AMU.

• Age Limit: The following candidate must not be more than 24 years as of 1st July of the admission year.

Other Courses:

For B. Tech Programme:

• Qualification: Candidates must have a Senior Secondary School Certificate examination or its equivalent.

• Marks: Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate for qualifying exam.

• Subjects: The candidate must have passed with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English subjects (PCME).

For B. Com (Hons.)

• Qualification: Candidates must be passed in 12th (Intermediate) level or its equivalent examination from any recognised board.

• Marks: Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam in aggregate OR

• Candidates must have Diploma in Secretarial Practice examination of this university with not less than 55% marks in aggregate.

• Subjects: Candidates must have mandatory subjects such as English with one of the following subjects- Accountancy/Economics/Business studies/Commerce/Banking/Mathematics/Computer Science.

For MBA:

• Qualification: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from any recognised university/ institute.

• Marks: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

• Age Limit: The upper age limit will be 27 years as on 1st July in the year of admission.

AMU Entrance Test 2024 Counselling

The mode of Counselling for the AMU entrance exam 2023 will be held online mode just after the declaration of the AMU 2023 entrance test result, the exam conducting authority will commence the counseling process. The counselling of AMU will be conducted separately depending upon the ranking of the candidates. AMU counselling 2023 comprises registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and others.

Only those candidates who cleared the cut-off marks will be eligible for the AMU 2023 counselling. After the successful verification of the qualified candidates and the fee payment, the seats will be allotted to the candidates.
