Course Overview

The Senior Management Programme (SMP) is a part of Indian Institute of Technology-Calcutta’s Leadership and General Management Programmes, intended to train working professionals as well as postgraduates for senior executive duties. The course incorporates digital as well as in-campus learning, to ensure all round learning.. The sessions are taken once a week, via digital medium. It is mainly taken on Sundays from 9am to 12pm.

The teaching methodology incorporates a unique blend of diverse teaching styles ranging from Cases, Simulations, Role-Plays, Games depending on the type of module. The lectures are ensured to be highly interactive and full of knowledge. The aim is to familiarize the Working professionals with the current business environment, which is changing constantly, and to enable them to make strategic decisions, implementing analysis and existing functional competencies.

The combination of qualitative and quantitative skills is taught to candidates. The in-campus sessions include face-to-face interactions regarding topics of contemporary relevance. The course charges roughly Rs. 7 Lakhs, which is payable in instalments. The course is conducted by the IIM-Calcutta Faculty, via digital medium mostly. After successful completion of the course, the candidate would be inducted into the IIM-C Executive Education Alumni section, thereby enabling him/her to a 5 percent discount on other IIM-C LDPs.

Eligibility Criteria

Work experience

Working managers having a minimum experience of 10 years are eligible for the course.

Education

Graduates (10+2+3) or Post graduates in any discipline with minimum 50% marks are mainly eligible for the post.

Certification Qualifying Details

Candidates will receive the certificate only if they successfully complete the programme. They must not get Poor’ grades in more than two courses.
