Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta offers admission to postgraduate and doctoral programmes. IIM Calcutta admission to Executive M.B.A is offered based on GMAT. The final selection to the Executive M.B.A programme is based on the academic background, professional experience, GMAT score, personal interview, SoP and recommendation. Admission to Executive PGP Visionary Leadership and Manufacturing programme is done on the basis of a written test (VLMAT) consisting of Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, and Engineering Ability. For IIM Calcutta admission to the M.B.A programme, candidates have to appear for CAT and secure a valid score. In the 1st stage, IIM Calcutta releases names of shortlisted candidates based on CAT score. For the 2nd stage, a personal interview (PI) will be conducted. Admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics programme is based on the PGDBA entrance exam, with shortlisted candidates being called for a personal interview. IIM Calcutta admission to the Ph.D Management programme is done based on CAT or GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC-JRF in any discipline. IIM Calcutta Application Process

IIM Calcutta PG Admissions

Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta offers four postgraduate programmes. IIM Calcutta courses at the PG level include Executive M.B.A, Executive PGP Visionary Leadership and Manufacturing, M.B.A and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics.  The course duration of the Executive M.B.A and Executive PGP Visionary Leadership and Manufacturing programme is 1 year. However, the duration of the M.B.A and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics programme is 2 years.

IIM Calcutta Executive M.B.A Admission Process

• First, candidates are required to appear for GMAT and secure a valid score.
• Candidates who want to apply for the Executive M.B.A programme need to submit the duly completed application form through the official website of IIM Calcutta.
• Then, the institute announces the names of shortlisted candidates on the basis of their GMAT scores.
• Following that, candidates who qualify GMAT have to appear for a Personal Interview (PI). 
• The final assessment is based on academic background, professional experience, GMAT score, personal interviews, statement of purpose and recommendation letters from two referees who hold senior academic or managerial positions.

IIM Calcutta Executive PGP Visionary Leadership and Manufacturing Admission Process

• Candidates have to fill the application form available on the official website of IIM Calcutta for admission to the PGP Visionary Leadership and Manufacturing programme.
• Next, based on the eligibility criteria shortlisted candidates are called for a written test- Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing Admission Test (VLMAT)  consisting of three sections: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Engineering Ability.
• Candidates shortlisted after the written test (VLMAT) are called for a Personal Interview (PI) at the host institute. 
• The selection of candidates is based on academic records, work experience, and performance in the written test (VLMAT) and personal interview.

IIM Calcutta M.B.A Admission Process

• Candidates have to appear for CAT and obtain a valid score.
• The IIM Calcutta M.B.A admission process consists of two stages. 
• In stage 1, IIM Calcutta releases the names of shortlisted candidates as per CAT score.
• Next,  candidates meeting the minimum requirements on section-wise and overall percentiles in CAT (both section-wise and overall) are shortlisted for consideration in stage 2 subject to securing non-negative raw scores in all sections of CAT.
• For stage 2, shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview (PI). 
• The final M.B.A selection is based on the overall performance of candidates in CAT, academic record, work experience and other parameters. 
• To confirm IIM Calcutta admission, candidates need to get their documents verified and pay the admission fee. 

IIM Calcutta PGDBA Admission Process

• Eligible candidates must apply online by visiting the official website of the institute.
• Candidates have to fill in all the required information and upload the photograph, signature and documents.
• As a part of the application process, candidates must pay the application fee of Rs. 2500/- (Rs.1250/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories).
• Next, candidates are required to appear for the PGDBA entrance exam conducted by the institute.
• Following that, candidates are shortlisted for a Personal Interview (PI) based on their score in the PGDBA entrance exam.
• As per the final selection criteria, the institute considers candidates’ performance in the PGDBA entrance exam, personal interview, class 12th marks and work experience.

Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta offers one doctoral programme. The Ph.D programme offered by IIM Calcutta is Ph.D Management. The course duration of the Ph.D Management programme is 6 years.

IIM Calcutta Ph.D Management Admission Process

• For IIM Calcutta Ph.D Management admission, candidates need to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) or, depending on chosen specialisation(s), alternative test(s) in lieu of the CAT.
• Candidates must apply for the Ph.D Management programme through the official website of IIM Calcutta.
• Next, candidates are required to fill up the academic and referral details.
• After submitting the requisite details, candidates have to pay the application fees.
• Candidates should have cleared the CAT or GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC-JRF in any discipline.
• Candidates with an M.B.A/P.G.D.M holder of any of the IIMs with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.00/9.00 and above do not need to take any Admission test and they can apply directly using the DP Online Application Process.
• However, 60% of the seats in the Ph.D Management programme are reserved for candidates belonging to the reserved categories (including EWS).
• Further, the final selection list is announced based on the entrance test score and referral of the candidates.
• The last step includes verification of documents and IIM Calcutta admission fee payment.
