Hello Aspirant

The answer of this question totally depends on you. BHU is one of the oldest colleges in India established in 1916. The  institute became an IIT in 2012. IT is one of the finest engineering colleges. Now, if you want another college or another branch, you can give JEE Advanced next year. If your preparations are done and you feel confident that you can get high rank to get seat in other colleges like IITB, IITD etc. then you can give exam. I would suggest you that if you have an opportunity to upgrade your college, then you should try. Also, if you are preparing for JEE Advanced, don't make it spoil your 1st semester as cgpa is also necessary for placements.

BHU ( banaras hindu University ) this College has a good reputation and very good reviews by its students. If you want to give a try then you can but don't drop a year because the alloted College is not less reputated College it has a very good reputation. Do try to give advance by continuing your studies. But still if you are highly confident that you can score 99+ marks then you can drop a year. Unless you are confident don't drop a year. It's suggested to give examination by confirming your seat and continuing your studies
