There are quite a number of companies that hire metallurgical and materials engineers in India. Some of them can be SAP labs pvt ltd., SAI placement, Jai Balaji industries ltd , etc. You can also choose to be a professor in any of the top institutions. Hope this helps.

NITW is known for its placement statistics. Placements and job opportunities are very good. Almost 90 percent of students get placed every year. Students can either opt for core jobs or can pursue software jobs. The highest salary package was 40 LPA for a CSE student. Many reputed companies hire students from different branches of the college.

The companies visit for placement ans also at the same time internships. Candidates who are eligible and interested  have to undergo the recruitment procedure that is examination and interview process.
