Can i do M.sc by Animals husbandry after completing my B.sc agriculture?

Yes, you can opt for a Mater's in Animal Husbandry after doing your Bachelor's in Agriculture. The basic eligibility required for doing your Master's in Animal Husbandry is that you do your Bachelor's from a subject related to animal husbandry, and since agriculture is one of the subjects with the closest semblence with animal husbandry, it qualifies as a programme which will allow you to do your Master's in Animal Husbandry.


Other options you have after B.Sc in Agriculture are:

  • A lot many government and private jobs open up for students who have done their Bachelor's in Agriculture. Various officer level posts open up in government sectors.
  • In the private sector people will get jobs as managers at plantations, agriculture machinery industry, fertilizer manufacturing firms, product marketing firms, food processing units etc.
  • The average salary ranges from INR 2-4.5 lakh per annum
  • The positions which open up for people inlude those of research officer, agricultural officer, quality assurance officer, agricutural loan officer in banks, operations manager, production manager, farm manager etc.
  • However, it is suggested that one after this course does opt for higher studies. This will enhance their portfolio.


M.Sc in Animal Husbandry:
