The NEET exam has revolutionised the entrance exam in India. It covers all state exams from all over the country. AIIMS is the only institute that is permitted to conduct a separate entrance exam. JIPMER, AFMC, CMC and other entrance exams have all been withdrawn according to the new regulations of entrance exams.
For procuring a seat you will have to get a rank from any of the two exams available. NEET UG or AIIMS. Preparations for the two are almost the same except that you will need a good practise of Assertion Reasoning type questions if you're preparing for AIIMS.

At present there are only these exams available for admission to medical courses.

There are only three entrance exam for taking admission into medical field. That are NEET, JIPMER and AIIMS. Rather, some universities have their own entrance exam with NEET also. Means you have to pass both the exams-NEET and university exam.

For now, NEET has replaced all other entrance exams except AIIMS .
So now its only NEET exam according to which you get admission in govt and private colleges in India
