For the seat allocation in All India Counselling of NEET, the AIR is put into a valid concern to provide you with the seat. If you have a reservation, then the category rank would just make sure to provide you with an advantage of procuring seat even at a farther rank.
The major utilization is although the AIR. But category rank would help you to assess yourself about your chances of making the cut.
