For the counselling procedure and allottment of seat your AIR is taken into consideration.
In your neet score card you get both your AIR as well as your category rank.
However for the 15% AIQ counselling college is allotted depending on your AIR. During state counselling, the state counselling body brings out a list of all the candidates eligible for 85% state quota counselling.
In that list you get your state rank as well as AIR and category wise rank in the respective states.
When state counselling is considered your state rank and in a way AIR itself is taken into consideration.
Now if you have reservation then there is a list for such candidates in the order of their AIR and colleges are allotted accordingly.
