Hi,

The only single entrance examination for getting admission in Indian medical college for PG is NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The other examinations for some autonomous institutions like AIIMS, PGI and JIPMER do exist.

As a foreign medical graduate, you first need to clear FMGE exam and then clear either of the above examinations for getting admission in an Indian medical college for pursuing post graduate education.

Hope this will be of help.

Good luck.

Hi , you will have to clear FMGE first. And you will have to clear NEET Pg , or AIIMS or PGI or JIPMER exams to do PG. And marks and ranks vary with the field of your choice. Good luck

Hello :)

In order to pursue your post graduation in India, you will first have to clear the FMGE exam as you are already aware.

After this you may or may not be required to complete one year of internship.

Last but not the least, you will have to clear the NEET PG exam which had a cutoff percentile of 42.5 for the UR category in the year 2017. For the reserved categories, it was 32.5 and for people with disabilities, it was 34.5.

You can check the details of the FMGE exam here:

And for the NEET PG exam:

Hope this helps!

All the best.

Hi Vanrajsinh, As per your query about the Postgraduation in India post MBBS in Russia, I would like to qoute what is given in NEET PG government site-

Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) which is conducted by National Board of Examinations. Further, they should have been registered with MCI/SMC and should have completed their internship or likely to complete their internship on or before 31.03.concerned year.

Foreign Medical Graduates are required to bring their FMGE Pass certificate issued by NBE on their testing day.

Hopefully it helps
