NIT Warangal is one of the top NITs so you will have to secure a good rank in Jee Mains. Considering general category, 250+ score is enough to admit in NIT Warangal. For OBC students, There is slightly less score to need like 230+ and 180–190+ score need for SC, ST students. It may be vary depending on question paper and cutoff rank. And of course, you will get some advantage for being home state quota.

MODE OF ADMISSION

One needs to take the JEE (MAIN) exam and secure at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in Class 12th exam or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12th exam conducted by the respective board. Admissions are on the basis of rank in JEE (Main).

Hello Srikar,

Although the official cut-off marks for JEE Mains will depend on the toughness of paper, according to the analysis of last 3-4 years, marks around 250 will make sure that you get NIT Warangal CSE. As the 12th board marks are not being considered from last year, there is the chance of even higher cut-offs, but don't worry just focus on your study instead of rank and give your best in the exam.

All the best for exams!

Hello Nayak ,

I would like to say that based on past statistics and analysis ST candidates who gets around 260-280 will preferably get a CSE in NIT Warangal.

And I would also like to add that cut off changes every year. There is a deflection of 5-10 marks.but if you have marks in that range you will be in safe hands.

thanks

Hello Srikar, on JEE main 2017 analysis,

The opening and closing ranks for ST in NIT Warangal Home State Quota are 12 and 275 respectively. From my opinion, if you keep a score above 270 or 280 you will be in safe hands.
