Common merit rank is the rank secured by the candidates without considering their category. Every candidate regardless of the category he/she will be allotted a rank based on the marks scored by the candidates. Category rank is allotted to the candidates belonging to reserved category such as EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD. Candidates belonging to general category will get admission based on their common merit rank and the candidates belonging to reserved category will get admission based on their category rank.
