my son got 87.79 percentile in jee mains exam 2021 in obc(ncl) ,but 4 attempts result not declared. please advise to me admission chance for nit,iiit and GFTI institutions.

- A percentile between the range of 80-90 corresponds to an approximate rank between 150000 and 300000. This is for the unreserved category. For reserved category, the rank range is lesser. Therefore, a percetile of 89.97 does have the chance to get admission into NITs and IIITs. Given below are names of few institutions where the candidate can get admission into:
- NIT Agartala
- NIT Meghalaya etc.

Generally the qualifying cutoff for Obc Ncl category in Jee Mains is between 71-75 percentile. Your son's percentile is well above it so he has definitely cleared the exam. According to his percentile, his predicted CRL is around 1,20,000 and category rank is in the range 37000-38000. Chances for top NITs or IIITs is negligible although he might get lower NITs like NIT Sikkim, NIT Goa, NIT Hamirpur, etc.
