If you have cleared the LEEE exam and interview for lateral entry into IIIT Hyderabad while currently studying in the 4th semester at AKTU, it is your right to obtain a transfer certificate (TC) and migration certificate from AKTU so you can shift to the new institution. Should the university continue to refuse without justified cause, you are legally entitled to file a complaint with the Higher Education Department of Uttar Pradesh, the exam board, or even the University Grants Commission (UGC), since these bodies regulate academic progression and student rights. In such cases, you may also approach the state ombudsman or move to civil court, as denial of these certificates without proper grounds restricts your right to further education and is not permitted by law or UGC regulations.

Institutions are required by both UGC and state guidelines to support bona fide requests for transfer and migration for higher studies. You have legal recourse, and previous cases show courts and regulatory authorities generally rule in favor of students if all rules are followed and dues are cleared.

At IIIT Bangalore , the total BTech fees range between Rs 20.24 lakh to Rs 26.32 lakh depending on the course, with extra charges for hostel and deposits. With your CRL and EWS rank, it will be very tough to get Computer Science in IIITs, because CSE is the most in-demand branch and the cut-offs close much earlier. However, you can still try in newer or lower-cutoff IIITs during the last rounds of counselling. Some IIITs where cut-offs are usually higher are:

• IIIT Bhagalpur
• IIIT Dharwad
• IIIT Kalyani
• IIIT Bhopal

Still, the chances are less for CSE. You may also look at other branches (like ECE or IT) in IIITs where the cut-offs are a bit more relaxed. Alongside, it’s a good idea to keep state government colleges and private universities as backup options.

• IIT/NIT admission through JOSAA and CSAB requires Class 12 from a recognized board approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• Where as BOSSE (Sikkim) is a recognized state board, so it is generally valid.
• NWAC is an international board, but it is accepted only if you have an equivalence certificate from AIU.

So, BOSSE is valid. For NWAC, you need to confirm equivalence with AIU before applying.

For OBC-NCL-PwD students at IIIT Dharwad , the tuition fee is the same as for general students. The tuition fee is Rs. 1,67,400 per semester.

At the time of admission, students also need to pay a one-time admission fee of Rs. 10,000 and refundable deposits of Rs. 30,000 (institute and hostel caution). Hostel and mess charges are around Rs. 45,000 per semester (hostel Rs. 25,000–32,000 plus mess advance Rs. 20,000).

So, in the first semester, the total fee comes to about Rs. 2,52,400. From the second semester onwards, students pay around Rs. 2,12,400 per semester (tuition plus hostel and mess).

At present, IIIT Dharwad does not provide tuition fee waivers for OBC-NCL students, even if they are PwD. Fee concessions are available only for SC/ST and some PwD students under those categories. However, OBC-NCL students can apply for external scholarships offered by government or state schemes.
