Dear Anupam
IEM stands for Institute of Engineering and Management and UEM stands for University of Engineering and Management.
IEM is affiliated to WBUT(a govt university) whereas UEM is a pvt university. Though they say both are equal, but UEM is far away from the standards of IEM. UEM holds the top rank among pvt engineering colleges of West Bengal and holds a high cutoff for its admission. Onthe other hand , IEM has a easy entry through a exam “IEMJEE” which any body can crack easily.
Good luck.

You have said the whole opposite. IEM has a high cutoff and UEM has its own entrance exam in the name of IEMJEE which can be cleared very easily.
Hi Sabi I don't you have any idea about what you are writing or may be you don't know the difference between a U and a I. Let me give you the correct answer. If you give iemjee you won't get a chance in iem you get chance in UEM. In IEM most of the students wbjee rank lies under 6000. For CSE IT and ECE the cutoff remains around 5k. For getting into UEM you can get admission even if your rank is in five figure. Sorry for being rude bro but from next time please ensure whatever you are writing it is 100% correct because it's a public forum.
Thank you.
