IEM Kolkata Admission Process

Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM), Kolkata offers admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. IEM Kolkata BTech admission is based on Institute of Engineering and Management Joint Entrance Exam (IEMJEE) conducted by University of Engineering & Management (UEM). Other than IEMJEE, the selection of candidates for the IEM Kolkata BTech course is done through JEE Main. For IEM Kolkata MBA admission, the selection is done on the basis of scores in IEMJEE/ CAT/ MAT/ State level MBA Entrance Exam. Candidates have to appear for WB JECA conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Board (WBJEEB) to be eligible for IEM Kolkata MCA admission. IEM Kolkata UG Admissions 2024

IEM Kolkata BTech Admission Process 2024

For admission to the BTech course, candidates need to meet the IEM Kolkata BTech eligibility criteria.
Apply and appear for Institute of Engineering and Management Joint Entrance Exam (IEMJEE) conducted by University of Engineering & Management (UEM).
However, other than IEMJEE the selection for BTech is done through JEE Main.
Candidates who qualify entrance exam will be eligible to participate in the IEMJEE counselling process.
During the IEMJEE counselling process, candidates have to fill the choice of course of their interest.
Later, candidates need to get their documents verified and pay the course fees.

IEM Kolkata PG Admissions 2024

Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata offers admission to postgraduate programmes. IEM Kolkata courses at the PG level include MTech, MCA, MSc and MBA. The below table represents the IEM Kolkata PG eligibility criteria.

MTech	Completed BE/ BTech in the respective disciplines from a recognised university.

MSc	Passed bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream from a recognised board.

IEM Kolkata MCA Admission Process 2024

First, candidates have to meet the IEM Kolkata MCA eligibility criteria for admission to the MCA course.
Appear for WB JECA, conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB).
After the declaration of the WB JECA result, qualified candidates have to appear for WB JECA counselling and give preference to IEM Kolkata.
Seats will be allotted on the basis of candidates' scores in the entrance test and preference filled by the candidates.
After the seat allotment, candidates have to get the documents verified and pay the IEM Kolkata admission fees.

IEM Kolkata MBA Admission Process 2024

Candidates first have to meet the IEM Kolkata MBA eligibility criteria.
Appear for IEMJEE/ CAT/ MAT/ State level MBA Entrance Exam.
Selection of candidates for IEM Kolkata MBA admission is based on candidates’ performance in the entrance exam.
Final admission is confirmed only after document verification and course fee payment.

The education here is very good and students from different states of India come here for pursuing different courses. I also came here from Bihar to do BCA.Here the teachers make us do a lot of practicals, due to which we get a chance to go to the computer lab and do coding every day.

Hello Aspirant,

IEM Kolkata is a good college to pursue BTech. However, it is not the best. Colleges like Jadavpur University and KGEC are far better than IEM. Also, IEM is a private institute, and Jadhavpur and KGEC are government colleges. But, IEM is one of the best colleges in KOLKATA. If you are getting CS Branch you can definitely go for it.

Since, you have not taken the WBJEE exam, you have to get admitted to that college through the management quota. You can contact the college directly or go through counsellors. However, this method is not advisable . Many counsellors just go on bluffing people. So take your decision wisely.

The Future Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, India, is a private engineering and management college in West Bengal. It is an affiliate institute of the West Bengal University of Technology and AICTE Approved. The college was established in 2001.

The NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework). It ranges between 1 to 200 in engineering colleges.

The Future Institute of Engineering and Management do not lie in the range, hene, is not listed in latest NIRF ranking of 2022.
