Big campus (~273–340 acres) with distinct zones for academics, residences, hostels Classrooms & Academic Buildings Several academic blocks with smart classrooms. Others say classrooms and labs are outdated or poorly maintained. Labs & Technical Facilities Some reports of functional labs with reasonable equipment. Library Official strong point: large physical collection, e-journals, decent seating reported on college data.
1)Curriculum Theory-heavy, old syllabus in many departments. Updates are slow. Focus is on passing exams, not building industry skills. 2)Faculty Some professors are solid in theory and research. Many are outdated, rigid, and exam-oriented. Teaching style is mostly dictation + PPT + notes. Mentorship culture is weak. You won’t be spoon-fed guidance. 3) Teaching Method Traditional, boring, low engagement. Minimal case studies, projects, or real-world application. Attendance matters more than learning. Truth: This is not an interactive or modern learning environment. 4) Exams & Evaluation Exams are predictable and memory-based. Evaluation can feel inconsistent and slow.
Overall Numbers Average packages vary widely by source and by branch: generally around ₹4–7 LPA for engineering overall. Highest package reported up to ₹24 LPA (mostly from CSE/CSE-related roles). Median packages across all programs (overall UG/PG dataset) are low — ₹3–₹4.5 LPA per recent NIRF-based placements. Placement figures look okay only on paper because the “highest” packages are much higher than median and most students do not But actual placement volume for CSE may be low CSE placements are the best among all branches
DCRUST is value for money mainly because of low fees, not because of quality. You pay less and you get basic academics, basic facilities, and an average campus experience. There is nothing premium or standout, but you are also not being financially exploited like in many private colleges. The return on investment depends on how self-driven you are. If you rely on the university for skills, placements, or exposure, the value drops sharply. If you use the low-cost degree as a platform and build skills, internships, and networks on your own, the value becomes acceptable.
Campus life at DCRUST is quiet, slow, and largely self-made. The campus is big, but most days feel empty and low-energy. There isn’t a strong culture of engagement, discussion, or hustle. After classes, many students simply go back to hostels or off-campus rooms. Hostel life is adjustment-based, not enjoyable. Facilities are basic, mess food is inconsistent, and comfort is limited.
The canpus has decent facilities overall ,but maintanence is real issue. Classrooms are enough, equipments are very poor, older bhildings needs urgent attention from management no wifi in the building.
The academics curriculum is good enough, proffesors are friendly and good lack of practical knowledge and all , irregular classes are issue. Overall academics is fine . College offers good course content.
Very few placement opportunity we have in this college , less companies visit college. Arround 50 percent of students a gets placement and its good overall. You need to be in top students to get placed from here.
College infra is fine but placements structure is not very good, classes are conducted regularly Girls hostel gargi condition is not very good, very congested and rooms are very small, and not vey clean
Academic branch isn't very helpful just like any other government office, But curriculum is being updated regularly and new education policy has been implemented, so condition is improving. Exams are also conducted properly.
Placement condition is not very helpful, Few (1-2) companies do come for each branch, Like for CSE, veersa company tcs used to come but in recent years it is also not coming. Placement wise not very good, so if you want to get a good package work hard and get off campus
This university is not good for the students who are willing to study here because classrooms are not well arranged, fans are not working, no proper vantilation and dogs roaming in classrooms, dogs waste in stairs and classrooms, AC are there in some classrooms but not working properly, water cooler and water RO are there but not working and water quality is so bad and nor the AC and RO services are done on time. Benches are Broken in classrooms. Library computers are not working and labs are in very bad conditions. And living spaces are not clean. Management only promises to provide essential facilities like clean washrooms, classrooms, and labs but no actions are taken.
I am studying in BBA-MBA dual degree because i want my career in management but teachers are not really concerned about students study they only give 20 to 30 minutes bookish lectures or not related to the syllabus.
The quality of placement at my college is very bad. Maybe Only 5% students are were get placements and the highest package is maybe around 4 lakhs in BBA-MBA. Average salary package is 2.5 lakhs per annum. And the placement process is not very pleasant because college is not very supportive, teachers say you don’t get any placement and management doesn’t work properly to bring good companies for students placements
Campus is fantastic ,open and airing. You will feel free during winters. The university is having 3 food corners one is amul , vita , and nescafe there are 2 canteen named hangout and pizza hut. Roads are recently updated within the university makes a better drive.
Academic are good teachers are well educated and experienced. But the attendance issues are tough. Syllabus is very easy as compared to other colleges. Overall my learning experience is good here in this college
Placements are poor here. Companies are not coming for campus recruitment average packages are very low here but according to the fee its okay. The percentage of selected candidates here are 2/100 that is just 2%.
Kind of good .. labs are nyc . Better than any college The campus is massive, spanning 273 acres along the National Highway 44 (GT Road). Residential Life: It is a residential university with separate hostels for boys and girls. Most hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi and common rooms. Facilities: Includes a central library (with a rich digital and print collection), a convention center, a shopping complex, and a health center. Sports: Very active sports culture with a tennis academy, basketball courts (with floodlights), cricket and football grounds, and a gymnasium.
DCRUST offers a wide variety of programs ranging from undergraduate to doctoral levels. Engineering (B.Tech): Major branches include Computer Science (CSE), Electronics (ECE), Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Biotechnology. Architecture: The university has a strong Architecture department offering B.Arch and M.Arch. Other Programs: MBA, MCA, M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Math), and even dual-degree programs (e.g., B.Sc + M.Sc). Admissions: Primarily based on entrance exams: B.Tech: JEE Main (HSTES counseling). B.Arch: NATA. MBA: CMAT/CAT. M.Tech: GATE.
Placements: The university has a dedicated placement cell. While top-tier tech companies (like TCS and Amazon) do visit, many students also secure jobs through off-campus drives or state-level recruitments. The median package for B.Tech typically hovers around 3.25–4 LPA. Rankings: It is consistently rated AAA+ or AAA in the engineering category by Careers360. It is accredited with a B++ grade by NAAC.
The total cost of a 4-year B.Tech degree here is significantly lower than even a single year at many private colleges. Academic Fees: Roughly ₹50,000 – ₹65,000 per year (Total approx. ₹2.1 - ₹2.5 Lakhs for 4 years). Hostel & Living: Hostel fees are approximately ₹30,000 – ₹33,000 per year. The mess charges are extra, usually around ₹2,500 – ₹3,000 per month. Total Estimated Spend: You can complete your entire degree, including living expenses, for under ₹5.5 – ₹6 Lakhs.
Best campus lifeThe campus is lush and massive, providing a serene environment that feels a bit like a "green lung" away from the city's chaos. Hangout Spots: The Nescafe Corner and the Amul Parlor are the central hubs where students gather between classes. The Shopping Complex inside the campus also provides basic essentials and snacks. Student Societies: This is the heart of DCRUST’s social life. If you want a "happening" experience, you join clubs like: Sparsh: The popular drama and theatre club. Jzaa: The music and singing society. SKA (Sanskriti Kala Sangam): For dance and cultural performances. LISOC: The literary society for debates and writing.
No
The college infrastructure is good and pretty huge but maintained poorly. The lift don't work properly. Water clogging in the buildings are very common. College management do not focus on basic facilities
The academics of the college is not very good but ok. You have to study all by yourself no professor gonna help you out in this. They don't care you study or not pass or fail they just get their salary and end.
Placement of this college is worse. No one selected last year from this college many companies don't come here. It is rated B++ in NAAC ranking which justify it's situation this college is nightmare for introvert people like me
College infra is kind of good but management is not proper, the workers dont usually work on time. If something is broken, takes time to be replaced and new things take time here in univ. Roads are good in jan 2026 but idk what management makes or maintains it or not.
College academics is kind of good not excellent. As sometimes some teacher come some times not. The VF ( visiting faculty) takes time to be in class.. But the permanent staff professors are good and has high standard of knowledge.
Placements are not good out of 140 student from each department gets into college in a year and out of them almost half qualify for placements. And out of them 4-6 get tthe internship and gets PPOs. Thats all
The infrastructure is very good and spacious but it it very old and not maintained from the past 10 years, the Saraswati library complex got clogged by rain every year overall there is a lot of empty space in the university which makes it airy and relaxing, the university have all sports facilities but again saying no maintenance. the parking is outside the checkpoint which makes it hard to go to classes from the parking. there is everything in the university its a small city inside it which have everything apart from the main campus there is a shopping complex a SBI bank branch and residence area for staff and professor.
i am persuing BBA from dcrust . i joined dcrust in 2023 and now i am in final year and dcrust have teached me everything except my course we study all by ourself no professor is serious about your career they are like okayy let them do what they wanted to. professors are highly qualified they will teach you but if you wanted to , if you have eager to learn they will surely help you.
The placement rate is very poor in dcrust. many companies do not even consider this college for campus recruitment because its NAAC rating is B++ . avg package is of 4lpa after MBA that too to very less amount of students. if you expect a good placement here ? so my dear friend reverse your decision now you have time.
according to the fee the university is average because you will complete your BBA under 1lakh so yehh i think its not that bad considering to the fee. But yehh if you want a better career then go to a private university.
College's infrastructure is very good accordingly. Every building and departments are separated accordingly and a very managed infrastructure. All basics requirements is available inside the campus. Shopping complex ,cafeterias and sitting arrangement are available.
Teachers are educated and placed by university itself. Some teachers are good at their work but mostly donot know how to teach. While some teachers teach like they are teaching in schools. But teachers do provide notes.
Placements wise it is not a good academic university . They do not provide a good Placement to students and students themselves have to find a better Placements. Wouldn't recommend it to engineering colleges.
As a government university its a go to university but as placement wise will not recommend it. But according to we are submitting fees it is a normal wise university .
Campus have many cafeterias and sitting places. A well library and 24 hours ac working reading rooms. Overall college life is well average and good just need some maintenance.
With a General Category rank of 14 Lakh and an SC Category rank of 139,657 in JEE Main, it's highly unlikely you'll get into a NIT or GFTI through JoSAA or CSAB counseling for a desirable branch. Your SC rank is within a range where you might find a seat
Hi aspirant,
With a 31,528 rank in the General EWS category, getting a Computer Science branch at DCRUST (Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology) may be a bit difficult, especially in the first few rounds of counselling. CSE is a highly demanded branch, and usually, the cutoffs are much lower.
