hey there

Admission in IISc Bangalore is on the basis of the KVPY examination mostly in which 40-50 thousand students participate and  only few seats from JEE Advance.

IIT  admits students on the basis of JEE Advanced, which is considered to be one of the toughest exams.

Hi reader ,

for getting admission in IISC these are the following routes:

KVPY

JEE ADVANCED

NEET

being a NEET aspirant , you must be studying with complete focus on NEET.

in KVPY the level of paper is usually of higher standard than what is asked in neet mainly in physics

but you should attempt KVPY as it will help you stimulate an exam situation for NEET.

With ample gap between KVPY and NEET you will get better in your weaker sectio and hence it will be more possible to achieve a good rank in neet thus boosting your chances of getting into IISC.

i hope my views provided you a clarity.

Hello,

Yes, you can apply for admission to BS Physics in Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for the academic year 2022-23 if you qualify in NEET UG provided you must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent in 2021 or 2022 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 60% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to General/EWS/OBC. The candidates belonging to SC/ST category must have passed in the qualifying examination. The candidates who have studied  Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science in addition to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The minimum percentage of marks to be scored in NEET UG 2022 category wise is as follows

  • General category: 60%
  • OBC-NCL/EWS: 54%
  • SC/ST/PwD: 30%

If you have absolute clarity regarding your choice to study basic sciences, then you shouldn't bother that much for JEE. If you wish to go for Biology at IISER's you can go for the KVPY examination as well IISER aptitude test. Now if you are wiling to go for IISc, then your struggle for JEE ADVANCED isn' completely justified as you can also get into IISc through KVPY but the preparation of JEE ADVANCED, gives you a thrust towards success but its not mandatory, prepare well for KVPY & you can achieve your dreams. Its not like that, you can't crack JEE ADVANCED while going to schools. There are many rankers who have done regular schooling as well as cracked the examination. So don't pressurize yourself to a specific trends, you can obviously do schooling along with studies for JEE ADVANCED. So if you don't want to miss school, just appear for regular schooling. There are no perfect pathway to crack JEE ADVANCED except your hardwork. So if you can manage your schooling & preparation, there are no issues.
