National Institute of Technology, Karnataka admissions are offered to various technical and professional courses. Technical courses offered by NIT Karnataka includes B.Tech, M.Tech while professional courses MBA and MCA. NIT, Karnataka also offers doctoral programmes. For admission to B.Tech programme candidates have to appear and qualify JEE Main and appear for the counselling process conducted by JoSAA. NITK admissions to M.Tech courses will be offered through CCMT counselling on the basis of GATE score. For the MBA programme, candidates have to apply for the programme after which they will be selected for further admission process (GD/PI) on the basis of their in CAT/MAT. Candidates who want to seek admission in the doctoral programme have to qualify the written test followed by the interview process conducted by NIT Karnataka. National Institute of Technology Karnataka Admission Procedure for B.Tech/B.E programmes-
Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech/B.E programmes, have to appear and qualify JEE Main.
Based on their scores in JEE Main, candidates have to register for JoSAA counselling on the official website of JoSAA along with necessary documents and payment of fees.
Candidates need to choose NIT Karnataka as the preferred college while doing the choice locking.
Candidates are offered NITK admissions to B.Tech/BE programmes based on JoSAA registration, participation in counselling, choice filling, choice locking, document verification and fee payment.
National Institute of Technology Karnataka Admission Procedure for M.Tech /ME/M.Phil programmes-
Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech/ME/M.Phil programmes need to appear and qualify GATE.
Based on their GATE scores, candidates need to register themselves for CCMT counselling by providing GATE credentials, qualifying degrees certificates, personal details etc. and by paying the requisite registration fees.
Candidates will have to select NIT Karnataka as their first preference while doing the choice locking.
Candidates will be offered admission to these PG programmes based on the counselling participation, choice locking, choice filling, document verification and payment of fees.
National Institute of Technology Karnataka Admission Procedure for PhD programmes-
Candidates seeking admission to doctoral programmes, need to clear the written test conducted by the respective departments.
Candidates who will qualify the written test, need to appear for an interview related to their research area.
Based on the marks scored by candidates in their written test and interview, merit list of the eligible candidates will be released by the authority.
Candidates interested in applying in more than one department needs to apply on separate application forms along with the appropriate fee.
