College life is such a fun ride but getting there: not so much(if anyone asked me if would want to revisit my JEE days, I would never take that offer). So after clearing JEE, there I was like a thousand others excited to start college life. I contacted a few seniors and they gave me really good reviews but they also warned me that though my college boasts to have its own private beach, it's also a minus point since it's hot all the time there.I considered the good points against the bad ones and joined. After two years, I still feel the same, sometimes even better.I met a lot of interesting people from all across the country each in their own way different and yet same. It's always an amazing experience to talk about ideas with them.We can go to the beach whenever we want. The professors are very encouraging and are always telling us to find answers on our and try out different things. We have two fests in our college:one technical and one cultural. The technical fest ENGINEER has events from all fields of engineering and working in those committees is a lot of fun and an amazing learning experience. The cultural fest is even bigger and we have participants from all across the country . Many companies like Texas Instruments, Bosch, Google come to our college for placements and internships and they take away a lot more than they came for. Well there are two sides to a coin. The hostel facilities aren't that great but for what we pay its more than worth it . As I said before, two years down, I still feel the good points outweighs the bad ones and I feel nostalgic when I think that I have only two years left which would be gone in the blink of an eye.

NITK life is just amazing. Every individual who joins this college will not just academically bit will also become an all rounder. This is because of the amazing extracurricular clubs NITK has. Faculties are decent here but it mostly depends on the respective departments. Hostel buildings are all old but it is manageable. Every person joinin here will definitely enjoy their engineering life.

The college is really a beautiful place with a lot of greenery, friendly crowd and of course the private beach! Apart from being known to produce really good engineers, the college has much to offer to the students in terms of improving other soft skills , extra curricular and co curricular activities. The placements are really good and the college tries to even offer internships to 2nd and 3rd years. Even though there is reservation, the college houses a really good crowd who have diverse interests and opinions. In campus facilities are plenty and the student council are always working hard to make our life easier. The hostels are actually better than that expected of a government institution. It has campus wide Wi-Fi which is really cool. Also the college is using its funds to build new , better buildings with latest technology and renovating old buildings. Faculty are really good- highly qualified and supportive. They are engaged in research activities and also take up government funded projects and allow students to help them out giving us an opportunity to practically get a feel for the concepts learnt in class. Overall, the college is awesome and I would recommend people to join

is NITK SURATKAL college good for studying CSE,is it a good college and how is placement in this college, can I have a good campus selection after studying in this college

Ritik nakra Student Expert 26th Sep, 2019
Hey Manjunath! As the name suggest NITK (National Institute of Technology Karnataka) is a government owned college which is among the top colleges of India. The CSE branch is in its peak so the placement for CSE is in every college but NITK has a special placement wing which is training students very well which ultimately helps students to crack the interview. So don't worry much about the college, the college is best among its category. Hope you may understand.

I am General pwd category student with 40% disablity . How much percentile requires for me to get admissions in TOP 5 NIT . NIT trichy ,NIT,Surathkal ,NIT Calicut and NIT Allahabad for CS branch ?

Ashish pal Student Expert 24th Sep, 2019

Hello dear aspirant .

As this year JEE mains pattern completely changed hence it is a little difficult to predict exact stats but yes approximately 88-90 percentile will be ok in your case.

As per new trend we can simply say that in order to get this much percentile you really have to study hard and score at least 150 for it.

Ok good luck
