Hi dear candidate,
We hope you are asking about Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). Both of the colleges RV College of Engineering (RVCE) and Thapar Institute of Technology (TIET) are very good at infrastructure, studies and reputation as well.
However, the RVCE is slightly better than TIET due to it's constant high ranking especially in field of ECE and also has strong industry connections along with Bangalore's vibrant tech ecosystem, it offers more job exposure.
You can also consider other factors like fees and proximity to your residence etc. for better choice for you.

For pursuing a Master's abroad in Biotechnology and prioritizing academic excellence over immediate placements, RVCE (R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore) is generally considered the stronger choice compared to JSS (JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore). While both colleges offer good Biotechnology programs, RVCE has a reputation for high-quality education, strong research opportunities, and a better track record for students pursuing higher studies abroad.
RVCE (R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore):
Reputation:
Known for its strong engineering program and a good reputation for producing skilled and competent engineers, including those in Biotechnology.
Academic Focus:
Strong emphasis on research opportunities, internships, and collaborations with industry partners, which can be beneficial for applications to top Master's programs abroad.
Faculty:
Highly qualified and experienced faculty dedicated to providing quality education and mentoring students.
Infrastructure:
Excellent infrastructure with well-equipped labs, research centers, and libraries.
Placements:
While placements are good, they are not the primary focus if you are prioritizing a Master's abroad.
Focus on International Education:
The college actively encourages students to pursue higher studies abroad, with many students succeeding in prestigious programs in the US, UK, and other countries.
JSS (JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore):
Placement Focus:
JSS is generally known for its strong emphasis on placements and career support.
Academic Strength:
While JSS has a good academic reputation, it may not be as strong as RVCE for research and international education.
Infrastructure:
JSS has a well-maintained and green campus.
Placements:
JSS has a decent placement record with a good number of companies visiting the campus.
Focus on Local Industry:
JSS has strong connections with local industries, which can be beneficial for students seeking immediate employment.
In summary:
If you are prioritizing a Master's program abroad and value a strong academic environment, research opportunities, and a reputation for success in international education, RVCE is the better choice. JSS, while a good option for immediate placements, may not be as strong for students specifically focused on pursuing advanced studies abroad.
Dear
According to the inforamtion with a 98.09 percentile in JEE Main, you have a strong chance of getting into a reputable program like Computer Science (CS) at PES University. PES University typically considers JEE Main scores for admission to their B.Tech programs. However, the cutoff ranks can vary each year based on the number of applicants and available seats.

Between UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies) and RVCE (R.V. College of Engineering) for Mechanical Engineering, RVCE is generally the better choice. Located in Bangalore, RVCE has a strong reputation, high placement rates, and excellent faculty in engineering. It’s known for providing hands-on experience and strong industry connections, especially in core engineering. UPES is good too, particularly for energy-related fields, but for Mechanical Engineering with broad career prospects, RVCE may offer more value and opportunities.
RV College has a large and modern campus with smart classrooms, advanced labs, and good Wi-Fi access. The library is huge with plenty of books and e-resources. The environment feels professional, giving students real exposure to quality learning facilities.
RVCW boasts modern infrastructure with well equipped classrooms, state of the art labs, spacious hostels and abundant green spaces. it provides a conductive evironment for academic and personal growth.
When I graduated, the ECE building was falling apart. The library was understocked as well. I see they've made improvements recently so its better now. The Wifi was unreliable and the gym was subpar. The labs were well stocked though. The food used to be good in my first year but declined along the way.
