Course Overview

Self-learning materials or SLM are designed to facilitate students’ learning with little or no supervision in their own time and pace. However, even for bright and motivated students like you, it can be a challenging process.

Development of Self Learning Material programme will introduce you to SLM in a new light. You will learn about the concept of learning material development, its purpose, and general principles. In terms of SLM, you will learn about essential characteristics, structure, challenges, trends, and much more.

National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, has designed and developed the Development of Self Learning Material certification syllabus. The course will use a combination of video lectures, online tutorials, and assignments to motivate you to complete the programme. Eligibility Criteria

Certification qualifying details

To obtain the Development of Self Learning Material certificate, you must meet these criteria requirements:

Complete all assessments and get at least 10/30 as the average score (best three out of the four assignments will be considered for this)
Appear for the offline (proctored) exam and get at least 30/70
By achieving those, obtaining a course-final score of 40/100

The final score = exam marks + average assignment score

Admission Details

Mentioned below is the Development of Self Learning Material programme admission process:

Step 1: Check the Swayam website for logging in/registering. Website link: https://swayam.gov.in/.

Step 2: Go to https://onlinecourses.swayam2.ac.in/ntr21_ed10/preview and check if the enrollment is open.

Step 3: Click on ‘Sign-in/Register’ and fill in the required information to register. Use your existing Swayam account to log in if you have one.

Step 4: Complete verification by choosing ‘send verification code’. Acquiring it through your email, enter it, and start your ID by pressing ‘create’.

Application Details

Development of Self Learning Material programme application form consists of a sign-up sheet on Swayam. You can use an existing account of Swayam, Google, Facebook, or Microsoft to sign in. Else, you must open an account on the website through your email address and select a username and password. Swayam will verify it before creating it.

To appear for the Development of Self Learning Material training exam, you first need to submit an online registration form on Swayam’s portal and pay the exam fee. The exam will be in-person and proctored, held in multiple exam centres. You will get all the information related to the examination and exam centre after submitting the online form.
