• Marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be normalised with the marks obtained in the board examination (Tamil Nadu).

• The CGPA from the 3rd to 8th semester of the UG course is considered if there's a tie between candidates due to the same GATE marks.

• In case of any vacancy, the seats for M Tech students are then filled by non-GATE candidates.
