NIAMT Ranchi Admission Process

NIAMT admissions are offered for diploma, B.Tech., M.Tech, and Ph.D programmes. NIAMT admissions to B.Tech. are based on the JEE Main entrance exam followed by JoSAA counselling.

NIAMT admissions to the MTech courses are made through the GATE entrance exam and CCMT counseling. In contrast, admissions for Advanced Diploma and Ph.D at NIAMT are made based on the candidate’s merit and personal interview in the case of Ph.D candidates. NIAMT Admissions 2025 for Diploma Courses

NIAMT admissions are provided to Advanced Diploma courses in Forge Technology and Foundry Technology. The duration of the advanced diploma course is 1.5 years.

The candidates who meet the above eligibility can apply for NIAMT admissions.

The college displays a list of shortlisted candidates.
Shortlisted candidates can proceed with the document verification and payment of NIAMT admission fees.

NIAMT Admissions 2025 for BTech Courses

NIAMT M.Tech admission is available in Environmental Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Foundry Forge Technology, Industrial Metallurgy and Material Science and Engineering. The duration of the course is 2 years.

NIAMT admissions are offered to Ph.D programmes in Forge Technology, Foundry Technology, Applied Science and Humanities, Manufacturing Engineering, and Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. The Ph.D course is offered for the duration of 3 years.

NIAMT PhD Admission Procedure

The candidates meeting the merit and eligibility criteria, should fill out and submit the NIAMT admission form.
The selection of the candidates is based in merit of the qualifying examination.
A list of selected candidates for further interviews will be displayed.
Qualified candidates must participate in the personal round of interviews.
Submit all documents necessary for verification.
Selected candidates will be asked to pay NIAMT admission fees to complete the process of admission.

College is focussed on manufacturing sector and is the only college in India focussed on foundry and forge.curriculum is moderate because of affiliation of JUT Ranchi till now but recently it got deemed University status.

NIAMT is decent for foundry and forge.

Academics here interms of syllabus are ok but college management is really rigid and won't prepare essential things like academic calendar and exams like mid semester and ends semester haven't have prior declaration so on.

How is nifft ranchi for girls in metallurgy branch ?? iIs it good or bad ??

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you.It is good for girls as well. The college has good placement records. Average Package offered is 4.50lakhs. you may have heard about the girl named Jaya Gupta, final year student of B.tech Metallurgical Engineering from nifft ranchi who has become national topper in metallurgy in gate exam. Faculty is very supportive and helping. It is one of the best option.
