NIFFT Ranchi Admission Process

NIFFT Ranchi offers admissions to Advanced Diploma, B.Tech., M.Tech, and Ph.D programmes. Admissions to B.Tech. are based on the JEE Main entrance exam followed by JoSAA counseling. Besides the successful JEE candidates, a specified number of foreign nationals selected under the policy laid down by the Government of India may be admitted directly to the 1st year of any of the programmes covered by these regulations. At present foreign nationals are selected under DASA.

M.Tech. admissions to NIFFT Ranchi are made through the GATE entrance exam and CCMT counseling. In contrast, admissions for Advanced Diploma and Ph.D are made based on the candidate’s merit and personal interview in the case of Ph.D candidates.

NIFFT Diploma Admissions 2024

NIFFT Ranchi provides Advanced Diploma courses in Forge Technology and Foundry Technology. The duration of the Advanced Diploma course is 1.5 years.

College is focussed on manufacturing sector and is the only college in India focussed on foundry and forge.curriculum is moderate because of affiliation of JUT Ranchi till now but recently it got deemed University status.

NIAMT is decent for foundry and forge.

Academics here interms of syllabus are ok but college management is really rigid and won't prepare essential things like academic calendar and exams like mid semester and ends semester haven't have prior declaration so on.

Good place to do your Undergrad.

It is known for core especially Foundry and Forge disciplines from 1969 Infact only institute focussed on this domain in entire India. Few professors are really supportive and circullum is well maintained and updated.

How is nifft ranchi for girls in metallurgy branch ?? iIs it good or bad ??

Hi Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you.It is good for girls as well. The college has good placement records. Average Package offered is 4.50lakhs. you may have heard about the girl named Jaya Gupta, final year student of B.tech Metallurgical Engineering from nifft ranchi who has become national topper in metallurgy in gate exam. Faculty is very supportive and helping. It is one of the best option.
